They were asking for details about the business and who the account belonged to.

This afternoon we got a call from someone named Demetris. I wouldn’t say they’re running some sort of utility scam or anything. Seems like they’re just really eager to get things moving quickly. Maybe they’re working on commission or something, cause they seemed pretty pushy trying to lock in contract renewals before folks switch over to other providers.

I’ve mentioned this number before, and they called again, same bloke, trying to have another chat about energy costs even though we’re not renewing, plus prices have actually gone down! I told him once more that, as we discussed earlier, the person handling this will just ignore any calls this early on. I’m really expecting a flood of calls on Wednesday, seems to be their favourite day for ringing!

i got a call from some guy about an energy account that was supposedly up for renewal in january. i was like, hang on, we're in june now! no chance we’re sorting that out half a year early. he kept saying prices had dropped and he was from utility warehouse or whatever. i just told him, nicely, no way we’d be renewing anything until the new year.

Someone rang me up saying they were from British Gas and asked to speak with the Director, claiming my renewal was coming up. I told them everything with British Gas was managed online nowadays. They kept insisting that I needed to renew. When I told them I'd check with the Director and look into it, they suddenly just hung up on me.
