This is a bogus Natwest call - if you check their official Twitter page, their verified customer service profile confirms it’s a scam. Make sure to report the number to them and block it straight away.

I didn’t pick up, I only answer calls from numbers I recognise. Some folks say it’s a Nat West number, but we’re not customers of Nat West!

I received a call on the 28th of August from the number 08000025805, and the caller purporting to be from the Royal Bank of Scotland.

This number belongs to Natwest, but it’s been linked to some sort of scam. I rang my bank using a different phone number and they confirmed it’s not legit. They mentioned if they had tried to contact me, there’d normally be a note on my account about it.

Be careful that fraudsters haven't faked this real RBS/NatWest number. Scammers are cloning loads of bank numbers nowadays to trick even the most cautious people. If you get a call from your bank, listen carefully but don’t say or do anything, just hang up. Then ring the bank on the number printed on your card to double check. Don't leave it too long though, as there might be a problem with your account that needs sorting.

Got a call from Nat West fraud team - it was legit. I made sure to be careful with the security questions to confirm it was all proper. They contacted me because there was suspicious activity on my card, so they had blocked it. The woman on the phone was really helpful and friendly - the call came from a UK centre. I mentioned that this number comes up as risky when you search online, and she said she’ll report that to her managers. I reckon this number should definitely be listed on the Nat West website to avoid confusion.

This was NatWest’s late payment call. When we didn’t pick up the landline (we didn’t recognise the number), my hubby’s mobile rang immediately showing it was from NatWest.

This number has been callin me like 4 or 5 times daily on my mobile. I just dont pick up cos it comes up as a private caller, so theres no way to block it.

Got an automated call from a British lady voice. She asked for the person by name and said she was calling from their bank. Told me to press a button to get through to the bank. Wanted the name again and mentioned NatWest. No reports of hacking so far...

Got a robo call saying it was from RBS. It sounded pretty real to me, maybe because I haven’t paid my credit card for a bit. They sent me a text as well, so I’m thinking it’s legit.

Got a robotic call claiming to be from NatWest. It rang twice and each time the voice said the message was for two folks I don’t know at all. I’ve never had any business with NatWest, so no clue how they got my home number. Feels like a scam and could be dodgy, so I’m flagging it as suspicious.

I recently received one of those dodgy phone calls. Just to clarify, I don't bank with NatWest. I've had a similar run-in with someone claiming to be from BT too.
Isn't it amusing how there's always one person who insists these calls are legitimate, urging others to stop labelling them as scams? This is clearly a sign of a scammer in a bit of a bind. Just a reminder, reputable banks would never instruct you to press any buttons to proceed!

THIS IS NOT A SCAM. THIS NUMBER BELONGS TO NATWEST CREDIT CARD SERVICES AND IT'S AN AUTOMATED CALLER. THEY RING IF YOU'VE MISSED A CREDIT CARD PAYMENT. THE CALL IS AUTOMATIC AND THEY MAY ASK YOU TO RING A NUMBER BACK OR PRESS OPTIONS ON YOUR PHONE. TO EVERYONE CLAIMING IT'S A SCAM, PLEASE STOP. YOU'RE NOT HELPING ANYONE. IT'S NATWEST/RBS. EVEN THOUGH IT CAN FEEL ANNOYING, IT'S A LEGITIMATE NUMBER. JUST MAKE SURE YOUR PAYMENTS TO THE BANK OR CREDIT CARD ARE UP TO DATE AND THEY WON'T RING YOU, SIMPLE AS THAT.

Got loads of silent calls from this number, looks like some robot dialing. Every time I pick up and start leaving a message, they just cut off. Already had four calls from them in the past day.
