When I did, an Asian guy answered and I told him it was a total scam since I don’t own any Visa card at all! Seriously, don’t pick up or get involved with this number.

Got a call from 08000291930 claiming to be from IU Advice. They were really pushy and aggressive and kept saying the company isn’t upfront. Honestly, it felt fishy, like some sort of scam to me.

They tried to steal my child's savings and set up an overdraft, all while locking me out by changing my passwords. They also sent money from my account to Gemini Bitcoin in New York.

Got a call from 08000093651 on a Friday afternoon, claiming to be Thames Water and even mentioning my water account info, which made me raise an eyebrow. The woman said her name was TIBA and kept firing questions at me, but dodged every one I asked back. When I pressed her about it, she snapped at me not to ring her again and just hung up. I had already told her my full name and the first part of my address, thinking they were following up about an unpaid bill or something like that.

This is yet another dodgy scam where individuals try to lure you into clicking a link to supposedly "cleanse" your computer of viruses. They claimed to be representatives from our internet service provider. When we asked for the name, he cleverly said "BT," but I'm actually with Speak Talk!
