I haven’t dialled the number yet, but he did mention he's based in Gloucester in the texts. Is there anyone out there who knows more about this or has had recent interactions with him?

We received a call from that number, claiming he'd spotted our advertisement on a trading site. He began bombarding us with messages and discussing intimate topics rather frequently. He even forwarded us a picture, but the woman in it had dark hair, whereas that's not us. We also had to chat with his father when we were looking to make some arrangements. However, the following day, he texted once more, asking, "Why didn’t you reply to my message?" Now we're left pondering whether this could have been a scam or something more genuine.

Absolutely, we experienced the very same situation. We dialled the number using a different phone and a bloke answered on the other end.

I received a message from a number introducing themselves as 'Rach', a rather anxious 21-year-old blonde in search of driving lessons. She mentioned she resided near Keynsham. I told her I'd ring her back later, and she suggested the evening would work best since she had a side gig modelling underwear. Thinking it might be one of my mates pulling my leg, I inquired about where she got my contact details, and she responded with Trade-It. Given that I do have an advertisement there, it seemed feasible enough. I opted to call from my landline instead of my mobile to keep my identity under wraps, but the phone just kept ringing for over a minute without any answer or going to voicemail. Then it struck me to look up the number online, and I came across a site labelling it as a scam. So if I get another text from her, I'll be well-prepared to tell her to jog on, confident that I've dodged a bullet on the customer front!
