Got a text claiming HSBC sent a new payee request to Mr C Jones via some banking app. Problem is, I don’t even have an account with HSBC! What worries me more is that someone who actually banks with them might fall for it and click the link to say it’s not them. These scammers seriously need to be stopped, it’s just not on.
