I got a voicemail supposedly from First Direct saying there was a big payment tried on my account for Argos, something over £750, that had been blocked. It asked me to press one if I didn't authorise it. When I did, a very polite man came on the line, claiming to be from First Direct and asked for my full name. I told him I wasn’t sure and that I’d call First Direct myself through their app. He immediately ended the call. I rang up First Direct myself and they said it was definitely a scam and they hadn’t tried to get in touch with me that day.
