I got a robo call claiming to be from HMRC saying I was facing legal trouble and to press 1 to speak to someone. I didn’t press anything and just ended the call straight away. It seemed dodgy to me. Surely if HMRC needs to get in touch, they’d call with a real person or send an official email or text rather than one of those automated scammy messages.
