Got a text saying I’m eligible for a Home Energy Allowance from the DWP, between £200 and £300 for 2025. It claims the money will go straight into my bank to cover energy bills like gas and electricity. It also says I need to apply before 25th June 2025 or I’m out of luck. The message includes a suspicious link (https://rebrand.ly/5u8kt0f?sts=M5AqeX) and even asks me to reply “yes” if the link doesn’t work. Sounds dodgy to me, like one of those scam texts trying to get your info. Be careful if you get anything like this!
