They also left this number 0800 032 5854 to call if I hadn’t set it up, which I didn’t bother to do. After that, I phoned my bank and they confirmed no direct debit was registered. Then I called Thames Water and they had no clue either! Such a waste of time, like 20 minutes down the drain. I suspected it was a scam but still wanted to double check.
