I received a call that pretended to be from Amazon, claiming someone had purchased an iPhone 13 using my account. They said to press 1 to approve it or some such nonsense. I hung up right away and promptly blocked the number.

I wasn’t able to hear them clearly, so I ended the call after I inquired about their identity and how they obtained my number.

What a load of rubbish! I received a rather dodgy automated call claiming to be from HMRC, insisting that I was under investigation for tax evasion. They tried to scare me into pressing 1 to ‘sort it out’ or 2 to ‘ignore’ the so-called charges. Ridiculous, of course! There was no way I was falling for that nonsense!

Received an automated message today, supposedly from HMRC, claiming there were issues regarding tax evasion. The call came through on the 15th of December 2022 at around midday. Quite concerning, to say the least!
