Got a call from someone claiming to be Amazon, saying a £49 gift card was bought on my account. I asked if that was true or if they were making it up. No reply, just a quick hang-up. Felt like a scam to me - why else would they just cut off? Honestly, I'm done picking up my landline now. It's gonna get unplugged for good. Almost all calls are from unknown numbers, and only sometimes do they leave those scammy voicemails. Landline had its time before mobile phones, but now it’s basically useless to me.
