Totally spam, tried to pass off as some National Insurance call but it was fake:/

Got a call telling me my national insurance number’s been suspended and that I needed to press 1 straight away to talk to someone. Sounded a bit dodgy to me.

Some bloke called Greg kept saying he only had one quick question. I told him I was working, but he wouldn’t take the hint and insisted it was just a single question. When I said again I was busy, he asked why I even picked up the phone in the first place. I told him his tone was rude, and then he just hung up on me. What a cheek!

Didn’t pick up since the number was unfamiliar. No voicemail left either.

Got called twice today, about 4 hours between each ring, but they left no voicemail or anything. I just decided to not bother with them!

I didn't pick up, and since they didn't bother leaving a voicemail, I'm guessing it's probably just a scam. I've gone ahead and blocked the number now.

Not sure who that was, but after a few seconds of silence, the person suddenly yelled “hello” then just cut the call off. Lately, I’ve been getting quite a few calls from mobiles with no ID - looks like that’s the newest trick to make folks pick up. Watch out for this kind of thing.
