6 yearsFraud Alert! I just got a message claiming to be from Vodafone, stating that they were unable to process my recent bill payment due to a banking issue. They urged me to update my payment details through a link. What a load of nonsense!Fraud AlertVodafone6 yearsI received a text from this number claiming there was a problem with a payment on my Vodafone account. Now, I genuinely do have a Vodafone account, but I’m quite convinced this is a dodgy message. For starters, the number doesn’t match the ones Vodafone typically use to get in touch with me. Also, I’ve got two family members on the same plan tied to this account, and yet only I got the text. Moreover, the message has a distinct ‘send us cash’ vibe about it. Lastly, the link they included clearly isn't one for Vodafone's actual site. Instead of formatting like Vodafone.co.uk/whatever_page_it_is, it’s presented as vodafone_whatever_page_is.co.uk. If you understand the basics of URL structures, you’d realise right away that this isn’t their usual webpage. While it could potentially belong to them in some alternate capacity, I'm highly doubtful of that. Nevertheless, it’s easy to overlook if you're not paying attention. So, it certainly appears to be a scam to me. I could've left it at that, but I figured it might be helpful to share my reasoning.VodafoneVodafone. co. uk6 yearsFascinating! I received a text yesterday regarding an HSBC account from a different phone number, and now today, I've received one concerning a Vodafone account from this number. It seems like these dodgy scams might be interconnected!HSBCVodafone6 yearsI received a notification claiming to be from Vodafone regarding an unsuccessful payment, urging me to click on a link to provide my information. However, I found it hard to believe, as Vodafone has its own official contact number. Therefore, I decided it was best not to take any chances with it.Vodafone6 yearsI received a rather dubious text claiming to be from Vodafone, stating that my payment method - which is quite puzzling as I don’t hold an account with them! - had encountered an issue and that I should click on a link to establish a new payment method. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!Vodafone6 yearsOnce again, it’s Vodafone at the other end. Oddly enough, I don’t have any kind of account with them. Quite peculiar, if you ask me!Vodafone6 yearsI received a message purporting to be from HSBC, urging me to follow a link to supposedly secure my account. The thing is, I don't even bank with them!HSBCSubmit Your Own Report (07985 257005)
