Regarding the number: +44 7985 000536 Got a text saying my car tax payment had failed, supposedly from the DVLA. Totally not true, my bank shows it’s paid by direct debit. Checked the DVLA website too, and my car’s taxed until January 2027. From what I know, DVLA wouldn’t just send a random text like that out of the blue. Seemed like a classic scam to me. I deleted it straight away and reported it. Hopefully, others seeing this kind of message will do the same and not get caught out.
