I picked up a call from this number and got an automated message, which shockingly had a proper English accent. They said they were from BT regarding my phone line, but I don’t even have BT. Surely EE should do something and block this number if it’s just scammers using it?

Just got a call from a bloke with a really bossy voice who claimed my BT line was being used for some dodgy stuff. He warned me it’d get cut off if I didn’t sort it. Then he told me to press 1 or 2. Don’t fall for it, don’t press anything!

Got a call from someone claiming they were calling on behalf of Sky, saying there was an issue with my internet. Sounded fishy to me, probably a scam trying to get my details. Be careful if you get a call like that!

Got a ring from this number around 9.45 this morning and looked it up on my phone - turns out it’s a scam. They claimed to be from Visa, saying there was some fraud going on. Don’t enter any digits or give them any info, they’re dodgy. About a week back, they called me saying someone in the US was trying to sort a gambling debt for £800. Just a heads up, best to hang up straight away.

Been getting loads of calls last week from various numbers saying there’s been some VISA scam activity on my card. I’m based near East Yorkshire. Quite annoying really, especially when they keep changing the number they call from.

I got a robocall claiming to be from Amazon Prime saying they’d charged me a renewal fee. Of course, it was just one of those typical scams where they try to trick you into giving out your personal details so they can steal from you.

Another rubbish Visa scam call. I was pretty sure it was dodgy, so I just messed about to wind them up. They hung up as soon as I told them I didn’t have my card info ready.

Got a dodgy automated call claiming to be from Visa's fraud team, saying there were unauthorised transactions on my account. The message told me to press 1 to stop it. Total scam, obviously.

I usually only answer when I recognise the number. My voicemail prompts people to leave a message and says we’ll return their call. If there’s no message, I just figure it’s some sort of scam. Got part of a message the other day but missed the start, so couldn’t tell who it was meant to be from. Reading everyone else’s replies, this definitely sounds like a dodgy scam.

So, I heard a voicemail from this number and decided to have a look at my visa statement. Turns out, there were two charges of £1 from Google that I never made. Seems like a sneaky trick to test if you approve small amounts before they hit you with a bigger payment. I rang up my card provider and spoke to their fraud team to report it.
