Got a call from a lady claiming she worked for Virgin Media. She told me my router’s IP address had somehow switched to one from San Francisco. She even showed me the IP on a website and said I had to switch it back to a UK one. Then she started telling me to download some screen sharing app from the App Store to fix it. I told her I’d rather double check with Virgin Media myself before doing anything. Suddenly, the call just dropped. Doesn’t feel right to me at all!
