Got a message saying I’d been kicked out of some “group” I’ve never even heard of or joined, which struck me as odd. When I looked closer, it was actually urging me to apply for the DWP Winter Allowance before 22nd Feb. This is definitely a phishing attempt aimed at fishing for personal info, especially bank details. The message had a link that led to a QR code creator site based in Germany. Don’t tap on that link! Just block it and mark as spam. I’ve already sent it straight over to EE for them to investigate.
