Got a call on Whatsapp from someone who said his name was Ibrahim, sounded like he was from West Africa. He claimed he was ringing about a zoom meeting link for my kid’s school WhatsApp group. When I said it was odd he phoned me straight instead of the meeting info being shared in the group chat, he just ended the call. I later found out no admins had set up any meeting, and quite a few folks got calls like that from the same number, but with different people - both men and women - with African accents. Quite fishy if you ask me.
