I got a call claiming to be from Amazon about some weird stuff happening on my account. When I told them to cancel the order, they told me to put them on speaker and check my texts. When I asked if they thought I was daft, they actually said yes, stupid man or woman, then just slammed the phone down. Seriously rude person.

On 18 August 2021 at about 9:30 in the morning, I got a call from 07983913453. As soon as I played my recorded message telling them I don’t do cold calls, they immediately cut off. Honestly, it’s the smartest move I’ve made because now I don’t have to deal with those annoying nuisance calls. I get loads of them constantly, even though my number’s ex-directory and I’m signed up with the TPS. Doesn’t seem to stop them one bit.

Got a call earlier from this number saying they were with Openreach. Some woman, sounded like she had an Asian accent, told me there was some dodgy activity on my internet and that they'd cut me off in the next day or two. Around 8:13 in the morning, I got a call from a bloke saying he was from BT's tech team. Since we’ve got no connection with BT, I just ended the call. Then at about 8:22, the same number rang again, but I didn’t pick up, and it stopped ringing pretty quick. Seems like one of those dodgy scam or phishing attempts, especially with all the other comments here saying the same.

Got a call from this number, and it definitely wasn’t Amazon. The bloke said his name was Oliver and that he was from Microsoft Technical Support. He was trying to convince me that my computer got hacked, but I don’t even use Microsoft, and nothing’s wrong with my PC. Total nonsense if you ask me.

Got a call this morning at 7:53am from someone who said they were from Amazon. They claimed there was suspicious activity on my account and that there was like £1,375 involved. Told me my account was frozen until I sorted it out by calling them back. Honestly, couldn't they use their time and talents for something better instead of trying to mess with folks' lives? And of all times, early morning - my only chance at a lie-in gone!

Ignored the call. I’ve already blocked them. This makes the fifth time they’ve tried ringing. It’s clearly a scam related to Amazon. Other calls claimed that there was a purchase made on my Amazon account from Reading. I got in touch with Amazon’s fraud team and they collected all the necessary information. I’ve had calls from various numbers, including one that seemed to be from Romania and another purportedly from Norway. I’ve also updated all the relevant passwords.

Got a call early on a Saturday from someone pretending to be Amazon, saying I'd authorised payment for an iPhone 11 - which I definitely hadn’t. I’m getting really fed up with these scam calls. Luckily, I was awake and suspicious, otherwise I might’ve fallen for it, especially if I wasn’t so used to them by now.
