Got a call from this number and they left a message saying it was from Cardiff Devils Hockey. I’d emailed them earlier about a mistake with an order from their shop. Looks like this number now belongs to someone else, not the person I was trying to reach before!

Been having some really awful calls from this number recently. I told the police and they were pretty helpful. They suggested I look up how to record calls on my phone so I have proof. I also contacted my phone company, and they can actually track where the calls are coming from.

For the last 3 months I've been getting calls from withheld numbers, even tho I blocked the number that first started texting me. Its been really stressful and kinda scary. I reckon shes using some 192 code or something to hide her number. Sounds like she's tryna scam people for money. I'm going to report all this to the police asap.

She’s been in touch saying she’s got my name and where I live. I’m wondering what info she really has and if she’s actually given anyone my address. I’ve now blocked her number, told the police, and also contacted my mobile network about it.

The police were informed and they’ve got the number on record now. If she or anyone else gets another call, it’s going to be straightforward to track. She’s been advised to ring them back straight away if it happens again. The number's been blocked and thankfully, no calls have come through since. It’s still a bit stressful but hopefully that’s the last of it. If anything else pops up, the police said they’ll step it up, so I reckon as long as folks keep the police in the loop and block the caller, it should be sorted.

I'd recommend you report that number straight to the Police and mention you found it on these posts (looks like you're not the only one being targeted). Next time if she rings or texts, tell her you’ve got the Police involved, then just block the number. Don't bother engaging or wasting any more of your time with it. Also, it might be useful to get in touch with your mobile provider to see if they can offer any support. Sometimes they or the Police can track the caller by looking at which local phone mast the call came through.

The threats I got weren’t serious enough for the police to step in, but they did take the number and told me to block it. They also said if I got any more calls, to get in touch again. I hadn’t realised so many others were going through the same thing until later, so I’ll let them know there’s been loads of threats coming from that number now. My advice to anyone getting calls like this - block the number, don’t answer or talk on the phone, and report it to the police immediately. With several complaints, they’ll probably start building a case against it quite fast.

there's this website 192[###] where if you sign up, you can get loads of info from the electoral roll, like people's names and addresses. bit worrying really. luckily, you can ask them to remove your info if you don't want it out there.
