Got a call from a number claiming I need to pay £1.45 for a delivery from Evri, you know, used to be Hermes. They sent a link to sort it out but it smells fishy, so I’m just gonna leave it alone. Definitely seems like one of those dodgy delivery scams.

Got a call from this number today, an Asian woman claiming she had info about my supposed recent accident. I kept pressing her on where she got those details and she said something about national stats, which sounded so off. I told her I'd actually been in hospital lately for leukaemia, not an accident. Then she asked when the accident had occurred! I had to explain that leukaemia’s nothing to do with a car crash. Honestly, she seemed a bit clueless!

Had a call from some Asian bloke claiming his name was Dave - honestly, absolute nightmare! So rude and just plain annoying. How do these calls keep happening without anything done? Feels like there’s no rules at all and no one gets in trouble for it. This kind of behaviour should be cracked down on properly.

Got a call this morning from someone who said his name was Kevin, sounded like he was from India and had awful English. Claimed I was involved in some legal docs, which is totally not true. When I asked him nicely to stop calling on a Saturday, he just swore at me! I ended the call, but then he immediately rang me right back. What a total idiot!

Had some daft guy ring up claiming he was from the CAB. I told him I wasn’t interested and to stop calling. Out of nowhere he blurts, “Fancy giving me a blow job or what!” and then just hangs up. He already had my full name and address, which was a bit creepy. When I questioned why the CAB was involved, he told me they were just assisting the government. Had a few missed calls from this number while I was overseas but ignored them. Today a bloke with a strange accent called, claiming to be doing a credit check, but I couldn’t really catch what he was saying. On the 4th of December around 9.38, a woman with a foreign accent rang me claiming she was calling from Citizen Advice. When I asked why Citizen Advice would be getting in touch, she said I supposedly had a lot of monthly debt. I told her it sounded like she knew more about me than I did! She kept insisting she was with Citizen Advice, but I called her out, said she was fibbing, and warned I’d report her to the Police. I also told her to remove my number straight away since I'm signed up to the Preference Service, so I shouldn't be getting calls like this.

I asked him what debt I supposedly had, and he just replied, “I dunno, you tell me?” Then he started calling me stupid and said I was wasting his time. Got a call from some Indian bloke asking if I owed any money. I told him no, then he started asking if I'm single or married. When I asked why he wanna know all that, he just said he wanted to f##k me! I just ended the call and blocked the number. How on earth do these lot get hold of your number?!

Today I had a call from 07983726957 on my phone but didn't pick up. Before calling back, I decided to search the number online and ended up here. After going through all the comments, if they ring me again, I'll pick up and check if it's that same guy with the Indian accent. Cheers to everyone for the warning!

Got a call from some person speaking funny, was really rude and aggressive. Definitely from abroad, felt proper abusive.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent saying I owed money, which isn’t true at all. When I told him I didn’t have any debts, he just ended the call right away. Blocked the number straight after.

Some bloke rang me up saying he was from Citizens Advice and that I had some debts we needed to discuss. It was a bit unsettling that he already had my name and phone number.

Like a few folks here, I got a call from some bloke in India rambling about unpaid debts and how he could slash them to zero interest. I just told him to sod off and hung up straight away. Then, not long after, I spotted he’d called again, so I went ahead and blocked the number.

I got a call from someone on 30/11/2017 around 8:55am who said they were from some government credit agency and could clear my debts. When I said I’d put the police on the line, he rudely told me to basically get lost (proper rude). The caller was an Indian guy, really pushy and sounded like he was reading from a script. Then, on 01/12/2017 at about 10:51am, I had a silent call from the same number that ended after just 6 seconds.

this indian guy called me about some debts i’m allegedly paying off every month. i told him i’m only 16 and there’s no way i’m paying anything like that. he then said my voice definitely doesn’t sound like i’m 16, laughed and went, “yeah, you’re right.” then he said something like, “can i just say you’ve got a lovely voice, you don’t sound underage at all.” i didn’t even bother with a reply, just cut the call straight away. proper creepy behaviour!

Just got a call from someone saying I owe money and threatened to send bailiffs if I didn’t pay up. Sounds like a scam to me, and it’s really scary especially for elderly folks.

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be from a debt company, banging on about some new credit laws and all that. I told him straight up he was talking nonsense and told him to jog on. Bet he didn’t see that coming from a 55-year-old lady who’s absolutely fed up with these annoying calls!

Somebody rang pretending to be from Citizens Advice saying I owed money. I just found it funny and knew right away it was a scam. Needless to say, they hung up pretty quick and I blocked the number straight away.

Got two calls from this number back to back at like 8:50 and 8:51 in the morning. I dunno what was so urgent they had to ring me twice so quick. I didn't pick up cause it looked like a dodgy number, and turns out I was right after reading other people's experiences. Total scammer, just a proper waste of time.

Got a call from this number at about 11:06 this morning. Funny thing is, they had tried ringing me earlier around 9:35 but I didn't pick up then. The person on the phone, who sounded like he was Indian, claimed they’d received some info from a Debt Resolution firm saying I owed money on credit cards or something like that. When I asked for the contact number of that company, he just cut the call straight away. Needless to say, I’ve blocked the number now.

I got a call from some geezer about credit cards, even though I've never had one. He kept firing questions at me anyway. As soon as I said I hadn’t asked for the call, he just told me to do one in the rudest way possible. Proper disrespectful bloke.

Got a call from some bloke in South Africa saying he was from the Citizens Advice Enforcement Dept, going on about two unsecured debts I had. I actually work at Citizens Advice myself, so I told him there’s no department like that. He didn’t take it well, argued a bit, then just started getting really rude and abusive.

I kept getting calls from this number but didn’t pick up at first. When I finally answered, the person claimed I owed money on my credit card and even used my first name! I told them they had the wrong person and to stop calling. I’ve since blocked this number.

This number rang me too, and when I didn’t give any info, the person on the line started swearing, shouting stuff like “you Indian never share details” and some other nasty words. The caller didn’t sound Indian or English at all, quite weird actually.

This bloke said he was Peter Jackson from some debt sorting company, but his voice was obviously not from around here, sounded really Indian. He kept going on about some £5k debt I supposedly owe, claiming they could clear it and boost my credit score. I told him outright I haven’t got any debts like that. Next thing, he tells me to get lost and starts threatening that my kids would die in their sleep or something daft like that! I haven’t even got kids! These nasty scammers really need to be dealt with properly!

This number has been ringing me quite a bit lately, and whenever I pick up, there’s just silence on the other end. After a few times of this happening, I decided to just block it - problem solved.

One of my staff got a call from this number, with the person saying they were from Citizens Advice Bureau about some debts that needed sorting. Little did they know, they had rung a member of our local CAB team on their job line. We quickly told them they were pretending to be the CAB, which is a scam and they’d be reported for it. After that, the caller just started getting abusive.

I’d just wrapped up some phone banking when this number popped up. I didn’t pick up since it looked unfamiliar, but I looked it up online afterwards. After reading what others said, I’m relieved I didn’t answer. Kinda weird it called so soon after I’d done my banking, though.
