So I got a message claiming to be from the DWP, saying they were sending out winter fuel payments because of the cold weather. I naively clicked the link, which looked like a legit government site, and even more foolishly entered my details, including my card info. That’s when it hit me - it was a scam. I phoned my bank straight away, and they told me someone had already tried to add my card to Apple Pay! Thankfully the bank took care of everything, my account is secure now, and they’re sending me a new card.
