I get loads of these 'helpful' messages too, but honestly, I haven’t opened any of them and wouldn’t advise you to either. Best to just steer clear!

Got a call about a govuk grant, said I was eligible for some covid cash. Nope, total scam! Don’t fall for it.

I got a text from this number saying something about a COVID-19 grant and there was a link included. I didn’t click on the link cause it looked dodgy to me. The message said UKGOV and something like “You qualify for a COVID-19 grant, click here to apply.” Felt like a scam for sure.
