I got a phone call from a guy with an Indian accent on a really crackly line, who said his name was "David" and claimed to be calling from BT about problems with my broadband. He told me my router wasn’t set up right and that he’d sort it out for me. I flat out told him, “No, you won’t.” He tried to respond but then asked, “Sorry?” I repeated myself and he just ended the call. It was pretty clear it was a scam, especially since I use satellite internet, so none of the usual ground-based providers like BT or Openreach would have anything to do with my connection.
