Someone rang saying they were from BT, claiming my IP had been compromised and was involved with some nasty illegal stuff like human trafficking and child abuse. I asked them to tell me my IP address so I could check which one was supposedly hacked - funny enough, I actually know my IP. When I said that, I told them straight up they were scammers and told them to get lost, maybe a bit less politely than usual. I struggle with Tourette’s when I get calls like this. Don’t be fooled by these dodgy calls, it’s all a con.
