Got a message not long ago saying something like "Hey Jane, hope everything's fine with you, blah blah Paul." After checking out the other replies, I'm pretty sure it's just some odd creep - gonna block the number now.

Same old story as others have mentioned but this bloke keeps at it. Just got a text from him asking for Jane, and fair enough, he was quite sorry when I told him I’m not her.

Today I received a message from a bloke called Paul on this number. Figured it was just a mix-up at first, so I told him he’d dialled the wrong one. We exchanged a couple of messages, but eventually I blocked the number. It seemed like a scam, especially since about 15 minutes after he sent a last message apologising and saying he’d obviously delete the number, I got another one from him going "oh my god! really sorry. Who’s this then?" - basically the same as his second text. Strange behaviour for sure.

This bloke kept calling asking for some Jane, but said his name was Paul. I told him I wasn’t Jane, yet he just carried on messaging me. Proper annoying!

Oh yeah, I got that call too and decided to give them a reply they deserved. Since then, no sign of Paul or Mike! Honestly, what a waste of time from some sad souls. You'd think they'd be smart enough to switch up their names, but no, just shows who they really are. I haven't checked the bill yet, so not sure if I'm gonna get charged for answering, but honestly, giving them a piece of my mind made it all worth it. Thanks Paul/Mike, you actually brightened my day!

Got a call earlier from someone who thought they’d reached Jane and wanted to have a catch-up. I was a bit gutted to have to tell them they’d got the wrong person! Would’ve been nice if I was Jane though, hah.

I received a message from this number earlier saying, "Hey Jane, how are you? Would be nice to catch up soon...! x paul." He’d messaged me once before right before Christmas too. I just told him he must have the wrong person.

Got a message from a bloke claiming to be Paul, asking for Jane and saying he wanted to catch up. I told him he’d got the wrong person and hoped he'd track her down. Then he asked who I was, which seemed alright at first. But after I looked up the number online, I saw the same person’s also gone by Mike, with messages that are pretty much the same. Feels a bit fishy if you ask me.

I keep getting messages from this guy every couple of months, something like "Hi Jane, how's everything going? We should catch up sometime." I've told him a few times that he's got the wrong person, but he just keeps coming back, trying to chat and asking who I actually am.

I got a message from someone saying "Hi Jane... Mike x" just like others have mentioned. I told them it was the wrong number, then they sent a couple more messages asking who I was. I’ve just decided to ignore it now.
