I got a dodgy call claiming to be from the ‘Visa dept’, saying there were some strange purchases on my card. Initially, it was an automated voice telling me to press 1 to confirm the transactions or 2 to cancel them. I hit 2, then a bloke came on the line. I played along for a bit. He asked for my full name and DOB to stop the payments. After I gave him made-up info, he just cut the call. The whole thing felt like it came from a foreign call centre.
