Got a call from what sounded like a robotic voice telling me there were two charges on my Amazon account - one around £300 and another more than a grand. Since I haven’t made any big purchases like that recently, I chose Option 2 to talk to an agent. A man answered, but he had a strange accent and wouldn't say which bank he was from, just kept saying "security department." That made me suspicious, so I ended the call right away. I looked up the number later, and all it said was it was a Vodafone number, which honestly didn’t help me figure out if it was legit or not.
