I got a voicemail on my answering machine from someone pretending to be Visa. The recorded message warned me about a couple of dodgy and expensive transactions on my account, then asked me to press 1 or 2 to handle the issue. Normally, scam calls just end the call as soon as they realise it’s an answering machine, but since this was a recording, there was no way to actually press any buttons on my side. Naturally, I didn’t bother calling the number back either.
