So, this number 00447979664723 rang me a couple of times in the span of a few hours while I was working. I'm actually living in Germany, being an expat, so I was a bit worried at first, thinking it might be an emergency from back home. The number didn’t look familiar though, so I’m guessing it wasn’t anything important. I've just gone ahead and blocked it now.

Hey, just wanted to share - got a call yesterday from that same number here in Germany. Honestly, seemed a bit dodgy, like some sort of scam.

Not quite sure, but seems like some dodgy lot trying to scam old folks, probably German elderly. I’m here in Germany and got a few calls from numbers starting with 0044, which is a bit suspicious. A woman with what struck me as an Eastern European accent asked if I’d entered some lottery. When I pushed back asking for specifics, she just stopped the call. Then I pretended to be an elderly person over 90 years old and got handed over to a woman speaking clear, native German. Bit fishy if you ask me.
