I got a call from a UK mobile number but I reckon it was a scammer pretending to be from that number. They don’t actually have rights to it. Just ignore the call and block it if you can. I’ve already told the police about this.

Total scam, just hang up straight away. They try to pretend they’re from BT but it’s a complete fake. Definitely not BT calling you.
