Got a call from someone claiming to be HMRC saying I owe taxes or did something dodgy with my tax. I was somewhere pretty noisy when I answered, so the automated voice was hard to make out. It had an American accent telling me to press 1 or they'd send officers round. Felt like one of those scams from the States trying to trick folks here in Scotland. I didn’t press anything and made sure to report it to HMRC straight away.
