On Wednesday 24th June 2026 at around 9:15am, I received a call on my landline from 07977 481299. An automated female voice, sounding quite like AI, left a voicemail on my answerphone saying something like: "There were two charges on your card this morning: one for £99 from Amazon and another for £799 from Zoom. These seem suspicious and unauthorised as you haven't used these services. Press 1 to authorise or press 2 to speak with your bank's security department. Thank you." After the message ended with a beep, I went ahead and reported this incident to OFCOM through their 7726 number.
