This morning my landline rang a few times, but I waited until the third ring to answer since everyone I know calls my mobile. When I finally picked up, a recorded “Bank security” message started playing and I immediately put the phone down. These scammers must think I’m daft enough to hand over my banking info. It’s sad because lots of more vulnerable folks probably fall for these awful scams. I’m really surprised phone companies can’t or won’t do more to trace and block these calls on some kind of blacklist.
