I got a call from someone claiming to be with UK Life Insurance, saying they could add extra perks to my life cover. They spoke so fast I barely got a chance to say ‘no thanks’. Then they rattled off an old address (from before I moved twice ago), and mumbled some stuff I couldn’t really make out. When he asked if I was happy with everything, I told him the info was outdated and that I work for an independent financial adviser, so I’d sort any life insurance changes through them. Without a single word, he just hung up. Felt really sketchy to me.

They rang me earlier today but then just dropped the call straight away.

this afternoon i got a call with no number showing. i said i wasn’t interested and asked him not to bother again. then a bit later, he rang me from a mobile, 07976859621, and was really rude, swearing loads, so i hung up. he called back almost straight away and kept swearing, so i put it on speaker so my workmates could hear what a nightmare he was. later on, he called once more and i just hung up. he rang back again moments later and started threatening me, saying he’d ruin me financially and knew all my bank details. it was really scary.

Got calls from this number quite a few times. The bloke claimed he was from some criminal investigations team, talking about life insurance. I told him straight up I wasn’t interested and ended the call. He rang back and sounded pretty pushy, probably annoyed I cut him off. I told him to take my number off his list or I’d have to report him to the police. Looks like it’s an EE mobile number.

This number rang me up and when I asked where they got my landline from, the caller just said it was from some financial services. It was pretty obvious they were trying to suss out if I had life insurance and which company I was with. They named a couple of places too. I told them to take me off their list but they kept talking over me, so I just ended the call.
