Like a few others mentiond, a woman named Gabby from an energy savings outfit calling about "our local area" rang my landline a couple of times and then tried my mobile, even though I'm registered on the TPS. Seems they’re after homeowners or summat. I told her not interested but she somehow got hold of my mobile linked to the same address. She did sound quite nice tho.

So I got a call from Gaby, she said she was from some energy efficiency firm. When I didn’t have the info she was after, she just hung up on me 😂😂😂 Blocked her number right away.

It was one of those robotic voices trying to convince me about this loft insulation thing... my place isn’t even finished a few months yet, so I just said no and blocked the number!

I got a call from someone claiming to be a local energy advisor. They asked if I was the homeowner. I asked them to tell me my address, but they just kept asking the same question again and again. I gave my answer a few times, then they said they were ringing everyone in my postcode. I told them I think it’s a scam and that I’ve had enough. I said if they already have my address, they should call an ambulance because I was feeling really down and about to hurt myself. Then I just waited, but nothing happened for about 15 minutes.

Oh brilliant, got the usual one: ‘Hi, Gabby here, your neighbourhood energy advisor. You’re the homeowner, right?’ Well Gabby really got on my nerves, trying to take my blood pressure and also making me remember I’m still renting even in my 50s. Wouldn’t bother with it.

Totally a scam call. Some lady called, claiming to be my local energy consultant. She kept going on about fiberglass loft insulation and wanted to know if I owned the house. When I asked if she was with the council or any official local service, she just cut the call straight away. ####

From what I’ve heard, she struggles with alcohol and cocaine addiction, and often drives while drunk. She seems to think very highly of herself, but it doesn’t match reality. Her husband, Matthew Watson, is a proper dodgy character who constantly spins lies and is an awful landlord too.

I got a call off some woman claiming to be from the local energy company, but when I asked where she found my number and why she was ringin me on a mobile, she just ended the call. Quite dodgy if you ask me.

Got a call from 07976 430278 early in the morning 20/09/2023 around 8:20am. It was one of those dodgy pre-recorded messages about saving energy. Didn’t hang about and blocked that number straight away!

Got a call and when I picked up, there was silence then a click, then a lady started talking saying she was an Energy Advisor asking if I owned the place. I questioned where they got my number from but she just ignored it and launched into some spiel about loft insulation. Totally sounded like some dodgy recorded message, probably some rubbish AI. Pretty obvious scam, best to steer clear.

BEWARE! This is a total SCAM. Loads of folks have been ripped off by these dodgy schemes recently, especially during September. These fraudsters are getting bolder, so don’t hand over any personal info or bank details no matter what. If you get a suspicious call, message or letter, report it straight to Action Fraud. Also, put a warning up on social media and ask your mates to share it widely - we've seen this really helps stop others falling victim. Cheers for helping to fight back against these crooks!

Someone from an energy company was calling me, trying to tell me about rates nearby. But as soon as I asked them to specify which area, they just ended the call.

So, this is how it went down... They said they were the energy advisor responsible for my area. I asked them, "Which property are you talking about?" They replied, "The place you live in." Then I asked, "Could you tell me the address?" That’s when they just cut the call!

What’s odd is the call came less than an hour after I’d put my details on the official UK Gov energy support site. Could be a data leak or something. Got a call just moments ago from this number. The woman didn’t say who she was or which company she was with, just jumped straight in asking if I owned the property. I asked her which property she meant, and she said “the one you’re currently in”. By then I guessed what was going on and asked her to give me her name, but she just disconnected.

This caller was really persistent about loft insulation, wouldn’t back down at all. I told them three times I wasn’t interested before finally just hanging up and blocking the number. It got quite annoying for me, but I can imagine it could be a lot worse for others who might find it more stressful or even harassing. If they get in touch with you, I’d just recommend ignoring them!
