This phone belongs to me but I’m definitely not the one making these calls. I’ve got over 200 messages from people saying I rang them! I’ve reached out to my network provider to suspend the line because I’m pretty sure my SIM’s been copied or something. Seems like they’re using all sorts of tricksy untraceable numbers and dodging any way to catch them. My phone’s off now, but as soon as I switch it back on, it blows up with calls from folks asking why I contacted them. All I can do is apologise because honestly, it’s out of my hands. Cheers.

Got a call from someone saying I had a loan and was owed a PPI refund. They already had my name and address, which was annoying. When I said I wouldn't give out any details on the phone, he got annoyed and told me to ask for the info in writing. As soon as I said that, he just cut the call. Definitely felt like a scam, just trying to get my personal info.

Got a call on my mobile from this number just now. The person wanted to talk to me and already knew my name. When I tried to find out who was calling, they just ended the call straight away. Sounded like they had an asian accent.

I got a call from this number earlier today, didn’t pick up though. I sent a message saying I saw a missed call from them and asked who they were trying to reach, but never got a response.

Got a call from someone with an asian accent but a totally Scottish name. He said it was about my PPI, but what creeped me out was he already had my full name, address and bank details. Felt really fishy to me.

Got a call from some firm saying they could sort out my PPI refund, said they were from Newcastle. Not sure if they're legit but felt a bit iffy about it.

Got a call about some PPI stuff, sounded totally dodgy to me, just them trying to fish for my bank details. Definitely a scam.

I got a call from someone who already had my name, home address, and info about a loan I took out years ago - even the amount. When I asked who the lender was, he dodged the question, claiming data protection reasons, which felt a bit rich. He told me there was PPI unpaid on that loan and said he’d send the claim forms through. Then he started asking for more details, like my age, but I refused to answer and ended the call. Looking back, I kinda wish I’d just made up some info to see what they really wanted.
