I got a recorded call claiming to be from HMRC - total con! When did they start using mobiles to ring people? I've blocked the number, but I just know they'll ring back from another one soon. Seems like every week or so I get a different number popping up. Next time they call, I’m thinking of messing around a bit just to waste their time, so they're not scamming anyone else. Feels like the only way to fight back lol.

What a right con these calls are! It kicks off with a pre-recorded spiel claiming to be from HMRC, and if you indulge by pressing 1, you're suddenly chatting to a call centre in India. Their English accents leave much to be desired, honestly. As soon as he started his spiel, I had a cheeky idea and began telling him I fancied him, asking him to give me the saucy talk. Then, I acted as though I was getting all hot and bothered with what he was saying. Can't imagine he’ll want to ring me again anytime soon, ha!
