I got a recorded call claiming to be from HMRC - total con! When did they start using mobiles to ring people? I've blocked the number, but I just know they'll ring back from another one soon. Seems like every week or so I get a different number popping up. Next time they call, I’m thinking of messing around a bit just to waste their time, so they're not scamming anyone else. Feels like the only way to fight back lol.

Beware, this is definitely a con! It kicks off with a pre-recorded voice claiming to be from HMRC, then if you press 1 like they ask, it switches to some weird international ring and you're put through to a call centre in India with some really dodgy English pronunciation. When the guy started chatting, I just messed about and told him I was gonna get intimate and asked him to be saucy with me. I even pretended to be touching myself as he spoke. Pretty sure he won’t be ringing again, haha!
