Fraudster alert! I received a call from someone with a heavy Indian accent, making it rather tricky to catch what he was on about. If I recall correctly, he claimed I was entitled to a refund from some organisation. My refusal to share any personal details seemed to irk him, despite his insistence that he already possessed my information. I cheekily suggested that if he really had my details, he should just go ahead and process the refund without any fuss. Naturally, he hung up, only to ring me back moments later and start his spiel all over again. I made it clear that I recognised he was likely slouched in a call centre somewhere in India and that I wasn't budging on providing any information! He hung up once more, and I took solace in the fact that I had frittered away a bit of his time - hopefully, that meant he wasn’t able to scam someone else!
