Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent who said he wasn’t trying to sell me anything. He kept talking about some financial mess the UK government’s in. When I started asking questions, he got rude and started making threats. I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

When I asked where he got my info from, he wouldn't say. Then he asked for my address, but he had my old one on file. I told him I don’t have any unsecured debt and if they believe otherwise, they should send a proper letter instead of just calling me from a mobile. After that, he just hung up.

I confronted them regarding their allegations, and they quickly apologised before hanging up. It's fortunate that I'm quite vigilant; had it been someone less astute, they might have fallen prey to a scam and potentially lost a considerable sum.
