Today I got a call from this number, and the bloke already knew my name and where I live. He was talking about giving me back some money I supposedly overpaid on a car loan from 2003 or 2005. Thing is, I’ve never taken out any loan! When I asked which company he was with, he mentioned some finance firm. I called him out on his nonsense and told him to remove my number from his list. Then he just hung up on me. Watch out, this sounds dodgy!

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent who's saying he needs to pay me back a loan from like 10 or 15 years ago. When I asked which bank it was with, he named one I’ve never dealt with before. Told him straight up it was a scam, asked him to remove me from his list, and then I hung up. Honestly, this is just nonsense, so don’t give these people any details or agree with anything they say about your identity.

Got a phone call from this number too, claiming I had some kind of loan balance that needed to be paid back to me. The person sounded really proper and professional, but I know for a fact I never took any loan out. They asked for my bank info to send the money back, but that made me suspicious straight away. Just thought I’d warn everyone to watch out for this!

Got a call from someone with a foreign accent saying there was a cheque for £2400 waiting to be posted tomorrow linked to a PPI claim. They then asked which bank held my loan, and when I told them they ought to have that info already, they seemed annoyed. I told them if the payment was all set to be sent, they wouldn’t need to ask for details. Next thing, they just hung up on me. I’ve blocked the number now. Don’t share any personal information - it’s definitely a scam.

They rang up saying I was owed some cash. When I asked if I should give them my bank details for the refund, they just hung up on me.

I got a call from someone claiming I owed money on a loan I'd supposedly taken. I told her straight up that was rubbish since I’ve never had any loan. Then she started cursing at me, kept saying “f*** you” again and again, so I just ended the call.
