On the 7th of October, I got a call from this number claiming I had a £2000 refund from ages ago. I told him that couldn't be right, and then he began saying some really awful stuff to me. I ended up shouting back and then ended the call. Just about an hour before, I had missed a call from 0113 458 7895. I really wish I hadn’t lost my temper like that.

Someone called me claiming to be from a finance firm and told me I’d overpaid tax by about £3,000. At first he said his name was Sam, but when I asked again he switched to Michael. I ended the call straight away. The worrying thing was he definitely knew my full name and address.

Got a couple of missed calls from this number and another one that's almost the same. Didn't get any voicemail though. When I tried ringing back, it just said the number couldn't be found. Strange!

About an hour after getting a call from 0209 4123654, I picked up and they asked for me using my maiden name. Since I'd just had a similar call and was a bit annoyed, I told them I was tied up and before I could say more, they just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from 02094123654, and I rang back within an hour. They claimed I was due a PPI refund on some loan from years ago but couldn’t say which bank it was with. They kept trying to get info out of me, but once I started giving them the runaround and cursing, they just hung up.
