But I can’t see that number anywhere in my call history, I definitely didn’t ring it on that day, and I usually don’t make calls that long. Looks like someone’s found a sneaky method to rip people off.

THEY CLAIMED TO BE FROM SANTANDER BANK AND GAVE ME A UNIQUE NUMBER TO RING BACK ALONG WITH A PHONE NUMBER. I’VE REPORTED IT TO MY BANK, WHO SAID THEY DIDN’T MAKE THE CALL AND WILL CHECK INTO IT FURTHER.

This number is linked to the AMAZON PRIME SCAM, where they say "your visa card has been hacked. Press 1 to stop the payment". (They mention £350) DO NOT PRESS 1. If you do, it connects you to a very believable 'support' agent, who'll try to get you to give them remote access to your PC. They'll install Teamviewer on your machine. It's a key logger and they'll end up stealing your bank details.

I had about £15 left on my Orange pay-as-you-go, but it just disappeared. I looked at my call log and saw loads of calls from 07973100123. This is just the usual EE Orange voicemail alert letting you know you got some messages waiting. You can't really fault the Orange 123 system for telling you about missed calls and new voicemails, even if they do charge to listen to them. The only option is to ring 150 and get customer support to turn off the notifications. But then, how would you find out if someone left something important on your voicemail?

We received a rather peculiar voicemail on our mobile the other day. Initially, we thought it was just someone who had mistakenly dialled our number. The background noise was quite muffled, filled with indistinct chatter and some laughter, giving off that vibe you get when someone doesn't realise their phone is live. Yet, bizarrely, after about eight minutes of this odd audio, we suddenly heard a voice clearly say, “That’s long enough,” and just like that, the call ended. Quite the strange occurrence, I must say!

At around 3.14am on 13/3/16, I got a message from this number on my PAYG phone saying I'd missed an ansa-phone message from 22/02/16 and to ring 123 to hear it before it vanished. I checked my call history and saw an unknown number had rung me on 22/2/16. I've now deleted the text. Cheers to everyone who posted before me!
