Got a call on my mobile from a bloke with an Indian accent saying there was a problem with our computers not installing updates properly. That was odd, because I’ve never had calls like this on my mobile before. I told him I hadn’t noticed any issues and that our security measures were solid. He didn’t want to tell me the name of the company at first, but when I asked again he mentioned something like ‘Secure and Protect’ in London. Not wanting to bother with it any longer, I said I’d put him through to our IT security team, and he just cut the call straight away.

Some bloke with an Eastern accent rang me, claiming to be from 'Windows' offering to update my computer. Once I showed him I wasn’t buying any of it, he cut off the call really suddenly.

I got a call from an Asian lady claiming she worked for BT Openreach, saying my computer was infected with a virus. She told me to turn it on and describe what was on the screen. When I said I couldn’t see anything, she accused me of not telling the truth. I replied that I thought she was supposed to be from BT Openreach, and she just cut the call straight away. Pretty clear attempt to scam and get into your computer. The call came from somewhere in South Hams, Devon.

Got a call, no voice message left so I just blocked the number. Seems like loads of others have marked it as dodgy too, so I'll class it as risky as well.

Got a call about some problem with my computer, but the thing is, I don’t even own one!

About 20 mins ago, I got a call from a bloke speaking with an Indian or Pakistani accent. He said his firm had been attempting to reach me about issues with my computer not updating properly. He tries to convince you to do what he says so he can remotely control your PC. It’s definitely a dodgy scam aimed at pinching your bank info and personal data, so watch out.
