The phone rang pretty early, so I picked up thinking maybe it was something urgent from family. I got this guy on the line with an accent, making all the typical call centre background noise. He claimed there was a problem with our computer and some Microsoft issue. I mentioned it was way too early and that we actually don’t even use Microsoft. Just as I was about to call him out on the scam, he dropped a rude insult on me! Yep, definitely one of those phishing scam calls.
