Had a bloke called Tony from Virgin Media ring me up about getting broadband sorted. Things got a bit weird when he asked us to send ID to some outside firm. Apparently, the guy who lived here before reckoned we were his folks, and they wouldn't shut his account without proof we weren’t. We thought it was dodgy, so told him to buzz off and rang BT instead. He was asking for all sorts - driving licence, passport copies. Felt off to us, no way were we sending that info.
