Got a robocall from someone claiming I’d had £600 taken from my bank. As usual, the voice sounded like it was from India. They tried to push me through to some support number, so I asked them to tell me my name. They couldn’t, obviously, cos it’s just a trick to get me hooked and scam me. Absolutely pointless - I’m not falling for their nonsense, and they’re just messing around wasting my time!

Got two calls on my home phone, both the same deal. The second one I actually paid attention to, said there was nearly £900 spent on my Visa card and to press 1 to stop it or 2 for more info. The voice sounded like a recording, and the amount was clearly just filled in there. I'm waiting for a new Visa card anyway, so it was a bit worrying, but I've just blocked the number regardless.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Amazon about a £95 charge for Prime that I didn’t actually make. They said they’d refund it but insisted I install some remote access program like AnyDesk or TeamViewer. Once I did, they pretended I'd refunded way more than I should have and pressured me to pay back the “extra” by buying gift cards. They threatened to mess up my computer or phone if I didn’t comply. Classic scam to steal your info and money, so watch out!

Got a call from some bloke claiming there was a telephone refund due and asked for my date of birth. I said they should already have it on their record. He said he just needed to double-check, but I told him I couldn't hear well because the telly was on in the background. Next thing, he just hung up before grilling me for more details. Funny enough, the same number called me about a week ago, and I told them my birth date hasn’t changed, though maybe they think I can rewrite time or something!
