Got this call at about 8.30 in the morning on Friday 13th October 2023. It was a voicemail claiming to be from HMRC saying they had sent me a letter but it bounced back, and that legal action was about to start... I just hung up straightaway. It’s pretty unsettling to get fake HMRC scams right after dealing with the genuine department. It’s not the first time either, though usually it’s a dodgy text or an email rather than a recorded call.
