Got a voicemail from a woman saying £900 was going to be taken from my Visa Debit, and if I wanted to stop it, to press “1” straight away. No one gave their name, no mention of the bank, and they didn’t even say my name. It immediately seemed dodgy, so I rang my bank myself. They told me they hadn’t contacted me at all and it was just some scammer having a go. They said I handled it perfectly by calling them first, and warned me never to share any bank info with unknown callers. Really creepy experience.
