Before I could get a word in, the caller already said it was a wrong number. I thought it might have been some kind of check to see if I’d pick up. Then, about four days later, I got a call from 07546 300726 with a recorded voice pretending to be from HMRC, saying I hadn’t replied to a letter (which I never got). They warned me about possible criminal prosecution and told me to press 1 to chat with someone. I just ended the call, blocked the number, and reported it straight away.
